In 2017, we launched a plan for our company to contribute to the fight against climate change.

Several years later, this environmental commitment is clearly reflected in the reduction of the environmental impact generated by our activities.

To put this commitment into practice, we have progressively implemented measures such as:

• Replacement of the office HVAC system with an air-source heat-pump system.
• Replacement of lighting with LED technology.
• Replacement of the Kaeser compressor.
• Commitment to reducing energy waste when the factory is idle.

The results clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of our commitment. As a result of these measures, in 2020 Bildu Lan reduced electricity consumption by more than 30%, and we continue to improve year after year.

The following table shows the accumulated data for 2017–2020 on reductions in both electricity consumption (kWh) and CO2 emissions (kg).

At Bildu Lan, we are firmly committed to the future of our planet and continue working to implement new tools and measures that contribute to this goal.
