Historic landmarks

BILDU LAN S. Coop. was founded in 1973 by 15 partners with an initial dedication to mechanized parts. In an attempt to yield an added value to their product, the founding partners soon began to expand the tooling base and produce assembled parts.

In 1975, an in-house Technical Department was set up to design larger and more complex machinery, while at the same time increasing the workforce for assembly and technical automation.

By 1979, BILDU LAN has built a strong client base in a broad range of industrial, although their focus continues to be the automotive, electrical-electronics and food production industries. The growth of the company made it necessary to consider relocation to a larger facility.

During the following period, the company experienced growth and started to focus on the design of complete production lines and in 1999 the surface area of the production plant was doubled to reach the current 3,500 square meters.

Between 1999 and 2000, strategic decisions were taken and the structure of the corporate structure was completely revised. The departmental organization was replaced by an organization based on work groups. Two of the work groups are now dedicated to manufacturing machinery and the third group is for technical assistance.

This shift has proven to be successful in the sense that today BILDU LAN is a highly experienced engineering firm with a solid, consolidated and state-of-the-art praxis in its field.
